Free AI-powered feedback to help you prepare a stronger Y Combinator application.
How It Works
Import or fill out
Paste an existing application or fill out the form from scratch. Your answers are saved automatically.
Get scored & rated
AI reviews every answer and gives you an overall score, per-question star ratings, and an interview likelihood estimate.
Read detailed feedback
Each question gets specific suggested improvements and a rewritten answer showing how it could be stronger.
Accept & improve
One-click accept any suggested rewrite — or apply all recommendations at once — then iterate and resubmit.
Save & manage drafts
Save named snapshots of your application, switch between drafts for different pivots or companies, and pick up where you left off.
Export to Markdown
Download your application as a clean Markdown file, ready to share or paste into the real YC form.
What Powers the Advice
The advisor uses high-reasoning models from Anthropic and OpenAI, and the Andi API, to analyze your application against publicly available YC guidance, alumni advice, and patterns from successful applications.
It incorporates evaluation thinking from YC President Garry Tan's open-source gstack framework. And it draws on background documents covering what YC partners look for, common mistakes, and tips from founders who've been through the process.
Your application data stays in your browser (localStorage) and is only sent to the AI when you click “Get Application Advice.” Nothing is stored on our servers.
Built by Andi AI
This tool was built by the team at Andi AI, which is backed by Y Combinator (applied as “Lazyweb”). We built it to help founders prepare stronger applications based on our own experience going through the process.
Andi AI Search API
Andi's search API delivers factual, accurate answers with 87% accuracy — no hallucinations. Built for developers and startups who need reliable information retrieval in their AI applications.
